Andrey Shatalov, a former paratrooper turned mercenary, and Aslan-Bek Evkhoev, a Russian Airborne Troops officer, are in charge of a small detachment charged with the hazardous mission of stopping the terrorists, regaining the airfield they had taken from them, and holding it until a Russian Airborne Troops reinforcement stationed in Bosnia arrived ahead of NATO forces.
