When a grisly death occurs inside their exclusive Upper West Side apartment building, the trio suspects murder and employs their precise knowledge of true crime to investigate the truth. As they record a podcast of their own to document the case, the three unravel the complex secrets of the building which stretch back years. Perhaps even more explosive are the lies they tell one another. Soon, the endangered trio comes to realize a killer might be living amongst them as they race to decipher the mounting clues before it's too late.
In the series finale, a gang of Walker's former enemies break out of the Texas State Penitentiary in Huntsville. They proceed to exact revenge on Walker and his fellow Rangers by exterminating Ranger Company B in it's entirety... including Wade Harper (last seen in Season 7's "A Matter of Principle"). The leader of this group, Emile Lavocat, also reveals that he murdered C.D. Parker via ricin poisoning. Meanwhile, Alex goes into labor and makes clear her concern for Walker's well-being, as she does not want to raise this baby alone; elsewhere, Trivette asks an old girlfriend Erika to marry him. (She was last seen in Season 7's "Justice Delayed", recruiting Trivette to help clear the name of her jailed father.) One last Hayes Cooper story also concurs: Cooper retires from the Texas Rangers to raise a family, but a group of outlaws - led by an old enemy (who is Lavocat's ancestor) - plot to kill him. At the episode's end, the Rangers take down the gang (with Walker blowing up Lavocat with a grenade), and Alex and Walker introduce their daughter Angela (a reference to Chuck Norris's 1988 movie Hero and the Terror) to their friends. Marty (Woody Harrelson) and Rust (Matthew McConaughey) are partners who have worked together for many years. Marty is cheerful and smooth, and is very popular among colleagues in the police station. Rust, on the other hand, is withdrawn and taciturn, immersed in his own world and unable to extricate himself. However, what Marty admired was that Rust possessed extremely sharp and powerful observation, judgment and logical reasoning ability, and many difficult and miscellaneous cases could be easily resolved once he had his hands.
Although Marty was the only one who could stand Rust, there was an irreparable rift in their cooperation and friendship, due to a mysterious and bizarre religious murder that took place in 1995. . It is now 2012. When two people who have long since lost contact with each other reunite because of this case, what kind of truth will be waiting for them?
