The story of Everything Everywhere All at Once
Evelyn Wang (Michelle Yeoh), an elderly Chinese immigrant who co-owns a laundry with her vivacious husband Waymond (Ke Huy Quan), is the subject of the movie Everything Everywhere All at Once.
Evelyn's life is a chaotic, frantic disaster at the start of the movie, filled with crushing tedium and bitter regret. Her daughter Joy (Stephanie Hsu), whose sexuality Evelyn struggles to accept, has terrible issues that Evelyn is terribly equipped to cope with. Her husband, who loves her passionately but feels that he has no other option given her apathy, is pursuing a divorce.
