A lot has been said about Marvel’s declining quality of late, both on this site and the wider fandom, but Phase Four has undoubtedly been a rocky ride. The TV side of this long-running juggernaut began with WandaVision and has since swung between tolerable and unimpressive, before sputtering to an end with She-Hulk: Attorney At Law, a show promising to be a nice diversion from the ordinary; a quirky, fourth-wall breaking legal comedy. It is the sixth television series created by Marvel Studios in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), and it shares continuity with the franchise’s films.

Three years ago, the adolescent drama Euphoria appeared on our screens and completely changed the way teen dramas have been shown on television. Euphoria succeeded in weaving a number of distinct individuals and their experiences around a bigger cautionary narrative, ending in some unforgettable scenes, with an excess of nudity and an uncompromising look at drug addiction. Now，the TV series returned for season 2.

Black Bird is a well- written prison drama that is wonderfully dark and true to life. It’s a show that blends parts of Prison Break, Mindhunter, Mouse and Hannibal together into a delicious cocktail that’ll keep you coming back for more. This work is very basic narratively speaking, despite a few tantalizing flashes of a twisty-turny thriller, but it shines out because of its snappy language and compelling, believable characters. Not to mention the intoxicating atmosphere too.

Motherland: Fort Salem, which debuted in 2020, has established itself as a summertime favorite on Freeform over the last two years. In this television series, the army in the United States is made up entirely of witches, all of whom can trace their ancestry back to their mothers. Season 3 of Motherland: Fort Salem follows in the footsteps of the previous two seasons and addresses many concerns raised by the spectacular finale of Season 2. It’s not simple to finish a journey, but Motherland: Fort Salem does so with immaculate storytelling, outstanding production, and excellent post-production work.
